How it works

Here’s a list of questions you might have about how it works:

Why organic and pesticide free?

Organic produces is grown without harmful chemicals, and so are better for you and your family. Organic food results in less food miles, a lower carbon footprint, is great for the environment and all of the species that call this planet home.

Why low-waste?

I think if you’ve found your way here, you know most of the reasons why we should be incorporating a low-waste lifestyle. For me, I want to leave this Earth in a better condition than when I arrived. For my kids, they want to see the ocean animals living in a plastic-free environment. Whatever your reason, you can be sure you’re doing a good thing by shopping in a low-waste way.

We can’t say we’re 100% zero-waste. Why not? To be in line with food safety standards, some of our products are delivered to us in plastic. So far we have been able to re-purpose most of that plastic through various means, and after it is no longer useful, we’ll recycle it. We aim to reduce our waste as much as possible. We’ll keep you up to date about this via our blog and our mailing list.

How do I place an order?

You can book a delivery here. You will be able to choose a time that suits you.

Can I just call or text to place an order?

Yes! Any method suits us just fine. Call or text 0466 108 011 or you can message us on facebook.

How do I pay?

You can pay by card when we’ve finished filling your jars, or if you aren’t home, we’ll send you an invoice to pay online.

Can we participate in the jar swap?

Yes! We have a small number of jars that we can use to deliver to you. The only thing we ask is that you return the empty ones to us, so we can keep them moving around. We will ensure they are thoroughly cleaned and sterilised prior to each use.

Where is the shop?

Home delivery is easy and convenient for our customers. Without a shop, we can reduce our overheads which means we don’t have to charge you an arm and a leg.

Are you certified organic?

If we say a product is organic, it has been sourced from certified producers and suppliers. We are currently not a certified organic trader, but it is something we are working towards.

What about the carbon you are generating by driving around?

Before we existed, many of our customers were driving 30km or more in their car to shop in this way. We feel that by coordinating it all in one local place, we’re reducing your carbon emissions and your food-miles. In the future we aim to reduce and offset all carbon emissions related to the business.
